Admiral Mohab Mameesh, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal economic zone stated that the during the last 4 days a total of 180 vessels passed through the Suez Canal in both directions, with a total load of 12 million tons.
Admiral Mohab Mameesh assured that the rise in navigation witnessed by the Suez Canal in terms of number or load is firm evidence of the success of the new canal. He noted that the future vision of the Canals management lies in its development and deepening to attract vessels with bigger loads, as well as implementing flexible marketing strategies to attract new navigation lines.
The reports issued by the Suez Canal Authority show that 55 vessels crossed on Friday with a total load of 3.1 million tons. 47 vessels crossed on Saturday with a total load of 3.4 million tons, 43 vessels on Sunday with a total load of 2.9 million tons and 35 vessels crossed on Monday with a total load of 2.6 million tons bringing the total number of vessels in the past 4 days to 180 vessels with a total load of 12 million tons.
