Admiral Mohab Mameesh, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal economic zone announced that today, Sunday, the Suez Canal witnessed the passage of 37 vessels with a total load of 2.8 million tons in both directions.
According to the official report of the Suez Canal Authority, the North side witnessed the passage of 20 vessels with a total load of 1.5 million tons. The biggest cargo belonged to the Libyan vessel, MSC MIRJAM, with a load of 200 thousand tons, heading to Oman from Morocco.
17 vessels passed from the south side with a total load of 1.3 million tons, the biggest belonging to the Hong Kongese vessel “cosco shipping albs” with a load of 165 thousand tons heading to Greece from Singapore.
