During the last 3 days, from Friday to Sunday, 129 vessels crossed the Suez Canal in both directions with a total load of 9.5 million tons.
Admiral Mohab Mameesh confirmed that the rise in navigation witnessed by the Suez Canal in terms of number or load is firm evidence of the success of the new canal. He noted that the future vision of the Canals management lies in its development and deepening to attract vessels with bigger loads, as well as implementing flexible marketing strategies to attract new navigation lines.
The reports issued by the Suez Canal Authority show that 45 vessels crossed on Friday with a total load of 3.2 million tons, 47 vessels crossed on Saturday with a total load of 3.5 million tons, and 37 vessels on Sunday with a total load of 2.9 million tons. This brings the total to 129 vessels with a total load of 9.5 million tons.
