Admiral Mohab Mameesh, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal economic zone, announced that CMM officials will visit the economic zone next March to discuss the mechanisms of developing and implementing a project for the manufacture of heavy cranes and lifting equipment for ports within the region.
CMM is considered one of the largest Russian companies operating in this field. The company signed a framework agreement to implement the project within the Russian Export Center during the meeting in St. Petersburg.
This was at the end of Admiral Mameesh and a delegation from the Economic Authority’s official visit to Russia, where Admiral Mohab Mamesh met with Alexandra Beglov, acting Governor of Saint Petersburg, they discussed ways of cooperation between the Suez Canal Economic Zone and its partners in Saint Petersburg including the expansion of companies and investments in Saint Petersburg Economic zone.
Admiral Mohab Mameesh said that “The Suez Canal economic zone and St. Petersburg are cooperating in many fields including the fields of energy, ship construction, tractor manufacturing, agricultural equipment and medicines which are characteristic for Russia.”
After his visit to Russian, Admiral Mohab headed to South Korea to attend the Egyptian-Korean Business Forum this morning to discuss ways of cooperation in ship construction as well as promoting the Suez Canal economic zone.
