Admiral Mohab Mameesh, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal economic zone, met with Sung Soo Eun, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of Korea, at the beginning of his visit to the Korean capital Seoul to discuss ways of cooperation between the Bank and the Economic Zone, and mechanisms to support and fund future investments in the Korean region. The Admiral visited South Korea along with the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation and Minister of Finance to South Korea.
The Admiral discussed the cooperation with the bank in supporting the small, medium, and automobile industry within the economic zone. He also discussed the cooperation in the ship construction industry as they are beneficial to the national economy as an essential step in the development of countries; they form an important role in the dynamic industrialization process, and a new source of resource exploitation.
During the meeting, the Admiral praised the Bank’s efforts to promote investment opportunities in Egypt, stressing the importance of exploiting the investment opportunities in the economic zone, their attractiveness to local and foreign investments, the size of the incentives and exemptions, and the ease of procedures that make the investment process in the region a win-win for businessmen and capital.
The Egyptian-Korean Business Forum was attended by Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Dr. Mohammad Maaytah, Minister of Finance, attendance at the Egyptian-Korean Business Forum, and a number of Egyptian and Korean businessmen. They met with a number of Korean businesses and financial institutions, as well as the Korean Prime Minister and Vice President. Mameesh will visit some Korean projects, which are involved in the manufacturing and construction of ships as well as the industries that feed the automobile industry.
