On Monday the Suez Canal witnessed the crossing of 42 ships in both directions with a load of 2.6 million tons.
An official report from the Suez Canal Authority revealed that the convoy of the North witnessed the passage of 15 ships with a total load of 900 thousand tons. The largest load was on-board the ATHENIAN container ship with a load of 118 thousand tons, coming from Morocco and heading to Saudi Arabia.
Twenty-seven vessels crossed from the south (New Canal) with a total load of 700,000 tons. The largest load was on-board the COSCO ANGLANT container ship, which had the Hong Kong flag, carrying 160,000 tons coming from Malaysia and heading to Greece.
