In another context, the media spokesperson, on behalf of the Nigerian squad, denied what some media circulates concerning the complaint of the German coach, Gerona Roher. He negated the presence of old Ismaili players in daily training in a way that hinders the effort of the German coach during the physical and technical preparation of the Nigerian players. He added that the coach did not speak to Mohammed Sheeha, Head of the sixth group (Group F) in Ismailia concerning the existence of an organizational problem in the closed Nigerian camp.
In addition, the spokesperson said that the Nigerian team receives support and warm reception from the people of Ismailia, especially Mohammed Sheeha who provides them with all means of comfort and accommodation.
The media official of the Nigerian squad pointed out there is no need to create problems and circulate media rumors concerning his Nigerian team, for this causes much disturbance and disorder.
He also stated that the Nigerian Football Union’s choice of Ismailia to be the place of the Nigerian closed camp is because of the calmness that characterizes this governorate, compared to other ones in Egypt. Ismailia is distinctive because it offers state-of-the-art playgrounds ready for the Nigerian team’s training.
