Mameesh Receives Ambassador of Panama to Discuss Maritime Transport Cooperation

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Head of the Economic Zone, received Alikhandro Mendosa. Ambassador of Panama to Cairo. He also received Ahmed Al-Gendi, Director of Maritime and Consular Affairs at the embassy. The meeting took place at the library of Based Guidance and Direction of Ships Building of the Suez Canal in Ismailia.

Admiral Mameesh welcomed the Panamanian delegation, assuring the importance of this visit in enhancing cooperation between the Suez Canal Authority and Panama Canal in order to serve the world trade movement. Mameesh praised the development achieved in both channels in recent years. The development helps achieve integration to keep up with the development in shipbuilding industry and to accommodate the increase in the numbers and loads of the World Trade Fleet.

As for the Yemeni Ambassador, he expressed his happiness with the visit and praised the great progress of the Suez Canal. He also stressed the integration between Panama and the Suez Canal Authority in providing the best service to the global navigation for the sake of human prosperity.

At the end of the visit, Admiral Mohab Mameesh presented the shield of the new channel to the Panamanian Ambassador and invited him to cruise the Canal. He wished him success in fulfilling his mission in Egypt to increase cooperation between Egypt and Panama in various fields.
