Suez Canal Breaks Record in Number of Ships and Loads

Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Head of the Economic Zone, Admiral Mohab Mameesh, announced that the movement of vessels through the Suez Canal broke record in numbers and loads during the past three days. Mameesh explained that the number of ships passing through the Canal on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday reached 173 ones, with a total load of 11 million and 800 thousand tons. The average daily crossing registered 58 ships with an average daily cargo of three million and 900 thousand tons.

Mamish: World Largest Vessel Crosses Egypt’s Suez Canal

42 vessels cross the Suez Canal with a total load of 2.6 million tons

The Suez Canal records a record of 65 ships with 5 million tons

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and the General Authority of the Canal, said that on Wednesday the Canal’s navigation recorded a new record in the number of ships passing and total tonnage with a passage of 65 vessels with a total load of 5 million tons. 29 vessels crossed from the North with a total loads of 1.8 million tons, while 36 ships crossed from the south the new shipping route of the canal with loads of 3.2 million tons.

The largest French aircraft carrier crosses the Suez Canal

The head of the Suez Canal Authority and Chairman of the Economic Authority of the Canal, Mohab Mameesh, witnessed the crossing of the largest French aircraft carrier, Charles de Gaulle, during his inspection of the Chanel’s navigation traffic, accompanied by a number of leaders of the armed forces who are responsible for securing the Suez Canal and its branches.

New record in the loads and numbers of Suez Canal vessels

April 9, 2019
Admiral Mohab Mameesh, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal economic zone, said that on Tuesday the canal’s traffic recorded a new record for the number of transhipment of ships with a total of 62 vessels in both directions, with a total load of 4 million tons. The number of vessels passing through the north reached 41 vessels with loads of 2.5 million tons, while 21 vessels crossed from the south of the New Canal with loads of 1.5 million tons. The canal also saw the crossing of 5 giant vessels with more than 150,000 tons of cargo with loads ranging from 100 to 150 thousand tons per vessel.

Mohab Mameesh: Suez Canal set a record today in the canals navigation

Suez Canal witnesses its largest Navigation movement since its establishment; 75 vessels with a total load of 5.8 million tons
