New record in the loads and numbers of Suez Canal vessels

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal economic zone, said that on Tuesday the canal’s traffic recorded a new record for the number of transhipment of ships with a total of 62 vessels in both directions, with a total load of 4 million tons. The number of vessels passing through the north reached 41 vessels with loads of 2.5 million tons, while 21 vessels crossed from the south of the New Canal with loads of 1.5 million tons. The canal also saw the crossing of 5 giant vessels with more than 150,000 tons of cargo with loads ranging from 100 to 150 thousand tons per vessel.

On Friday Admiral Mohab Mameesh , Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal economic zone, celebrated the annual charity celebration organized by the Suez Canal Authority on the occasion of Orphans’ Day, with the participation of 1300 children from 23 different schools and charitable societies. Mohab Mameesh attends the signing ceremony of the new phase in China TEDA zone

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal economic zone, in the presence of Major General Mohamed Shaban, Vice President of the South Sector, attended the signing ceremony for the second phase of TEDAs expansion zone. The expansion zone is between the main Economic Zone Development Company Northwest the Gulf of Suez, represented by Engineer Nasser AlRifai, and China-Egypt TEDA, represented by Leo A.I. chairman of the Board of Directors of TEDA Egypt.

Establishment of a new Special Care Center in Ismailia this year

Suez Canal participates in World Autism Day celebrations

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal economic zone, announced the participation of the Authority in the celebrations of the World Autism Day by lighting a number of historic and major building in blue on Monday and Tuesday. The Authority lit the Ismailia Guidance Building, the Suez Canal Movement building, and Port Said al-Quba Building; they also launched sirens on ships crossing the Suez Canal. This was in conjugation with landmarks around the world illuminating bright blue lights for Autism awareness.

Governor of Ismailia welcomes Admiral Mohab Mameesh

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal economic zone, stressed on the care and concern of President Abdul Fattah el-Sisi for all the national projects in progress in the Suez Canal, which aim to achieve a great paradigm shift in the development of Sinai and eastern Suez Canal. During the meeting of Major General Hamdi Othman, Governor of Ismailia, with Admiral Mohab Mameesh, the Admiral added that the economic zone will soon become the largest of its kind in the world and that the Suez Canal is the core of development.
