Mameesh: Egypt aims to establish wind farms in Suez Canal’s Economic Zone

Sisi to “Chinese Businessmen”: We are keen to overcome obstacles faced by Chinese companies in Egypt

On Friday, President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi met with a group of Chinese business community.
Ambassador Bassam Rady, official spokesman for the presidency, said that the President welcomed the meeting of the heads of representatives of the major Chinese companies. This points to the depth and strength of the strategic relations between Egypt and China, as reflected by the Presidents frequent visits to China and his meetings with President “Xi Jinping”, which contribute to improving the level of cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Admiral Mohab Mameesh meets ambassadors of 20 African countries to discuss enhancing cooperation in the Canal area

On Monday Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and the General Authority of the Canal, met a high-ranking delegation of ambassadors from 20 African countries, accompanied by representatives of the diplomatic team of the different embassies in Cairo. The delegation was under the chairmanship of Ambassador Mamadou Lebrange, Ambassador of the State of Cameroon, Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps, and Ambassador Maher Al-Adawi, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, and in the presence of a number of leaders of the Authority. The meeting was held in order to strengthen the bonds of mutual cooperation and to get acquainted with the latest developments in the Suez Canal Economic Zone. It was held at the Aurhority’s Simulation and Maritime Training Center in Ismailia.

Construction of the petrochemical complex in Al-Sokhna begins

On Sunday Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Suez Canal Economic Trade Free Zone, during his meeting with Eng. Osama Kamal, Consulting Managing Director of Tahrir Petrochemical Company, and Mr. Bassel Al-Baz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tahrir Petrochemical Company, announced the commencement of the construction works and the delivery of the facilities for the stages of implementation. The project is located in the industrial area of ​​Ain Sukhna, the largest petrochemical project in the Middle East at an investment cost of 10.8 billion dollars.
