Mameesh: Egypt aims to establish wind farms in Suez Canal’s Economic Zone

42 vessels cross the Suez Canal with a total load of 2.6 million tons

The opening of the Suez Canal Tunnels is a new crossing

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, said that the opening of the Suez Canal Tunnels is a new step. He stressed that these tunnels will contribute to building and developing Sinai. In addition, they will make Ard El Fayrouz in the heart of Egypt. He continued “This great work has political, social, and economic goals. It was carried out by Egyptian hands from the A to Z. ”

The President is on a historic visit to Ismailia … and the new tunnels are an epic for Egyptians

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and the General Authority of the Canal, assured the interest and care of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and his continues follow-up on the updates of the large scale national projects in the Suez Canal area and the three governorates of the Suez Canal. These projects aim to make a big breakthrough to achieve sustainable development in the region and the development of the Canal region, Sinai, and east of the Suez Canal. He stressed that Sinai will become the largest economic zone in the world.

For the first time … “Suez Canal” establishes an administration for the management of tunnels and floating bridges headed by an Egyptian engineer

For the first time in the Authority’s history, the Suez Canal Authority established a new administration responsible for the management of tunnels and floating bridges financed by the Authority, such as the Suez Canal tunnels in Ismailia and Port Said and the floating bridges in the cities of the Canal. Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and the General Authority of the Canal, recently issued a decision to establish an administration for the management of tunnels and floating bridges, to be based in the Al-Tamsah building in Ismailia.

Public and political support are the secret behind the success of the Suez Canal Tunnels Project

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and the General Authority of the Canal, said that the new projects in Egypt, Suez Canal economic zone, and the Canal area in particular are the cornerstones of the implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. The first project was the development of the navigation route and the implementation of the new Suez Canal which has become of great importance to global trade. The aim of the project was to develop the Canal to enable it to absorb the new generations of giant ships after its current use throughout the world, they can currently pass through the Canal after its depth reached 25 meters.

Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and the General Authority of the Canal, confirmed that the selection of the Suez Canal and its Economic Zone as one of the most important stages of the Belt and Road Initiative wasn’t for historical and sentimental reasons only, but instead for objective, strategic and economic reasons. He made this remark in his speech at the China-China International Road and International Cooperation Forum.
